Workshops We Provide:

Mindfulness Easy Steps

We tend to let our negative thoughts run away with us, such that we become disconnected from the real world, ruminating and brooding on only our failures and weaknesses. This type of thinking can lead to fatigue, stress and anxiety. If we let this type of thinking go further it can cause us to feel low or depressed. Being aware of our feelings, thoughts, and breathing in the present moment can help us quiet down the negative chitter-chatter, helping us to be more relaxed and alert. This type of awareness comes from the ancient discipline of mindfulness.

Mark Williams, professor of clinical psychology at the Oxford Mindfulness Centre says:

When we become more aware of the present moment, we begin to experience afresh many things in the world around us that we have been taking for granted.

Overcoming Procrastination

Trouble persuading yourself to do the things you should do or would like to do?

When you procrastinate, instead of working on important, meaningful tasks, you may find yourself performing trivial activities. Whether your procrastination is a minor issue that’s simply hurting your productivity or a major issue that’s preventing you from achieving your goals. You’ve probably tried to overcome your procrastination on your own before and saw that this can be difficult to do.

Difficulty with self-discipline, such as time management and procrastination can hinder efficiency in your work, life and a relationship. Participants at this workshop will have the opportunity to identify and remove common procrastinating beliefs such as low frustration toleration or intolerance of uncertainty. If you have put off reading the self-help book you bought this workshop might be more helpful. In this workshop, we will help you understand your procrastination attitude and teach you techniques that will help you develop self-discipline and anti-procrastination behaviours.

Overcoming Perfectionism

Celestine Chua says a perfectionist is a person who refuses to accept any standard short of perfection. In psychology, perfectionism is a personality trait characterised by a person’s striving for flawlessness and setting excessively high-performance standards, accompanied by overly critical self-evaluations and concerns regarding others’ evaluations.

To a perfectionist, anything that’s less than perfect is unacceptable.

Designed to identify perfectionist thinking and behaviours, this workshop will also explore whether these traits are constructive or destructive to productivity and help you develop strategies to relinquish those traits that are less than helpful.

Developing Self-Reliance

Ralph Waldo Emerson the philosopher, wrote on the importance of individualism and its effects on individual life satisfaction. He wrote that anyone is capable of achieving happiness by simply changing their mindset. But, if happiness eludes you and some would say that true happiness Is a myth, then having self-worth, self-expression, resilience and self-acceptance may be more accessible to you.

In this workshop you will learn that thinking independently, trusting your own judgement and voicing it with confidence. it will teach you that striving towards your own goals and embracing failure and rejection is within you.
