We are a unique service offering cognitive behaviour therapy and occupational health because we believe that all health problems have both cognitive and behavioural influences.

We work with individuals/couples/groups and businesses to promote physical, mental and social well-being. Our Services

We provide psychological treatment for individuals and couples in the form of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). This approach focuses on thoughts, emotions, physical feelings and actions, and teaches clients how each one can have an effect on the other. CBT is useful for dealing with a number of issues, including depression and anxiety.

For businesses, we can provide occupational health reports, vocational assessments, training, seminars and workshops.

Testimonials

Our business required some ad hoc occupational health advice and we came across Marie Church CBS following a strong recommendation from another company. Marie and her team guided us through the referral process and our query was dealt with in a prompt, confidential and professional manner. The advice given was very clear and relevant to our manual work environment. I would definitely recommend Marie Church CBT to any business that is looking for occupational health support whether it be on an Adhoc or contractual basis.

I'd like you to know that your help has been invaluable; it's wonderful to feel more like my old self again. I'm sorry we didn't meet in more conventional circumstances as I think we would have got on famously!

We were particularly impressed with how quickly they were able to offer a consultation appointment and the report turnaround time, which helped us to move forward promptly in supporting our employee.

I had counselling with you back earlier in the year – CBT for health and general anxiety.

I just really wanted to email you to say thank you. I know I thanked you at the end of my course of counselling, but it’s not until now that I’ve truly understood the benefits. So though I meant ‘thank you’ earlier I feel like I can say it properly now understanding how the counselling has helped me.

I feel like a totally new person, it took a good 6 months to all sink in to be honest – I’m still anxious at times, sometimes about my health. But I recognise it and know how to handle it, know it’s nothing to worry about. It’s just part of me. My life has changed for the better – I’m going to bed earlier, don’t bother with the TV much in the week, read lots, I’m realising what I am worth and what I can achieve. At the end of my course you said – this isn’t finished I have to carry on / study, learn still. This is one of the best bits of advice ever. I’ve applied this and listen to podcasts (Ferne Cotton’s Happy Place is my favourite at the moment, The anxiety guy before this) and read self help books, looked up new techniques and it’s helped me so much.

The biggest change is I’ve seriously got into running. I’ve just completed my first 10k and now signed up to my first half marathon. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without my new outlook - I can’t really explain how the counselling has done this but just know that mentally I am stronger and know I can run further than 5k without dying or hurting myself and more importantly I really love it!

So I don’t know whether people normally email you retrospectively, and I don’t want this to seem weird if they don’t, but thank you so much for your help. I am now the biggest advocate of counselling and would suggest it to anybody. What you guys do is amazing and I don’t think you probably get told that enough.
